Rajasthan chief minister race: tomorrow’s legislative party gathering in Jaipur is called by the BJP

On Monday, there was still uncertainty surrounding the selection of the chief ministers for Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

But the Bharatiya Janata Party, which emerged victorious in the most recent assembly elections in both states, intensified efforts to choose the candidates for chief ministers. With regards to creating the government of Rajasthan, the sources informed me that tomorrow at 10.30 am, the BJP has summoned a legislative parties conference in Jaipur. The legislative party meeting will be supervised by three observers, one of whom is Union Minister Rajnath Singh.
According to the reports, pro-former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje MLAs met in Jaipur in the meanwhile. A former state president of the BJP was present during the meeting. They spoke about the plan to appoint Raje as the state’s chief minister during the meeting. They said that they may back Raje during the legislative session.

Before that, on Sunday, a few recently elected BJP MLAs visited Raje at her home in Civil Lines. The party has still to decide who would be the state’s chief minister.

Ajay Singh and Babu Singh were among the almost ten MLAs present at Raje’s home, according to party sources.

Two-time chief minister Raje is one among the favorites to become the next chief minister.

Raje held talks with a number of BJP MLAs on Monday and Tuesday, which were seen as a show of strength. She met JP Nadda, the head of the BJP, while she was recently in Delhi.
