Raksha Bandhan: On Wednesday, the Delhi Metro will operate 106 additional train trips

In order to accommodate passengers on the holiday of Raksha Bandhan on Wednesday, Delhi Metro would operate around 106 more train runs across various lines, according to authorities.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said on Tuesday that more employees will be deployed at stations to help with the increased passenger demand by manning more ticket booths.

According to authorities, extra standby trains would be held if necessary for introduction into service to relieve the pressure. In order to escape the crowds at the ticket booths, passengers are urged to purchase QR code-based tickets via the DMRC Travel Mobile App.

According to the DMRC, guards and customer facilitation staff would be stationed at important metro stations to assist and direct travellers.
