Relief package should be provided to displaced residents: Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced that the Cabinet had decided to provide a substantial relief package to the people displaced by the project and that permission had been granted for the expansion of Kangra airport while he was in Baijnath today to inaugurate the Shivaratri festival in the Baijnath area of Kangra district.

He claimed that the growth of Kangra, the tourist capital, will be aided by the airport’s expansion. He said that the state was not receiving the disaster aid that was supposed to arrive by the month of December from the federal government.

The ancient Shiva temple hosted a “puja,” in which the Chief Minister took part. He said that in order to improve the financial standing of farmers, Himachal Pradesh has become the nation’s first state to set support prices for milk, wheat, and maize.

At the Indira Gandhi Maidan in Baijnath, the Chief Minister opened and inspected the exhibits organized by several departments. Additionally, he dedicated ten projects totaling Rs 49.22 crore and lay the foundation stone in the Baijnath Assembly constituency.

The chief minister said that Shiv Dham Baijnath Shivratri had particular importance and that celebrating it with a celebration added to its magnificence. According to him, fairs and festivals are essential to the preservation of India’s rich cultural heritage. On International Women’s Day and the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, the Chief Minister welcomed the people of the state.

The Chief Minister was greeted and thanked earlier by Chief Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Rural Development, and Panchayati Raj Kishori Lal, who also expressed his thanks for the initiatives worth crores of rupees that were dedicated to the people of the Baijnath Assembly seat.

The Chief Minister pledged to abide by every request made by Kishori Lal. He declared the opening of an ITI in Chadiyar, a polytechnic institution for Baijnath, a 150-bed Baijnath public hospital, as well as a CT scan and blood bank.

Additional announcements included the allocation of Rs 10 crore for the construction of an indoor stadium in Baijnath, the completion of the Beed Palampur via Gharnala project, the second phase of the Utrala to Holi road under NABARD, the tarring of the Sarjada, Deol, and Tattapani route, and the building of a lawyers’ chamber in a civil court.

On this occasion, ministers for sports and Ayush Yadvinder Goma and agriculture and animal husbandry Chander Kumar also attended.
