Remove those who wish to do away with the Constitution: Congress

A day before Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar’s 133rd birthday, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Arvinder Singh Lovely, top party officials, and employees presented floral tributes to him at the DPCC headquarters, Rajiv Bhawan, on Saturday.

Prominent leaders and workers from different party wings, together with former MPs Ramesh Kumar and Dr Udit Raj, former chairman of communication and former MLA Anil Bhardwaj, paid their homage to Dr Ambedkar.

Speaking on the occasion, Lovely emphasized how crucial it is to protect the Constitution, which Ambedkar and other leaders of the liberation struggle wrote with foresight. “Voting out those forces who want to scrap the Constitution to serve their divisive personal agenda is the best tribute the people of the country could offer on the birth anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar,” he said.

Lovely expressed worry about the state of politics today and emphasized efforts to subvert democracy. He said, “Unfortunately, that is not happening as forces undermining the Constitution are trying to suppress the voice of the Opposition and scuttle the election process. It is the mandate of the Constitution to ensure free and fair elections.”

In order to defend the Constitution, Lovely advised Delhi residents to cast their ballots for candidates from the India bloc in the Lok Sabha elections. He urged unity to protect the Constitution’s integrity and issued a warning about the dangers it faces.
