Revanth announces the construction of a new Telangana government building in Delhi

A Revanth Reddy, the chief minister of Telangana, stated on Tuesday that the state government will be constructing a brand-new official facility in New Delhi to replace the current structure, which is a part of the Andhra Pradesh Bhavan at Ashoka Road.

On a three-day visit, Reddy took out Tuesday morning for the nation’s capital. Over the next two days, he would be meeting with prominent Congressmen, including AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi.

According to a Telangana PCC politician who is aware of the situation, he also requested a courtesy call with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Shortly after arriving in New Delhi, Revanth proceeded to the Telangana chief minister’s official house on Tughlaq Road, where he met with officer on special duty Sanjay Jaju and resident commissioner Gaurav Uppal of Telangana Bhavan.

The CM discussed with them the matter of dividing assets between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, including the current AP Bhavan in New Delhi, according to an official statement from the CMO.

The chief minister asked the authorities about the building’s overall size, state, and Telangana’s portion in the complex. “The administrators told him that the current building complex is situated on 8.781 acres of land, out of the 19.78 acres of undivided land that make up AP Bhavan. According to the official record, the Pataudi House is situated on 7.641 acres, while the Old Nursing Hostel is situated on 3.359 acres.

According to the Andhra Pradesh State Reorganisation act, Telangana would get 8.245 acres of land and the AP would receive 11.536 acres, the authorities informed Revanth. They said that while repairs are being made, the majority of the structures are in poor condition.

According to the CMO statement, “the CM told them that a new building should be constructed which reflects the cultural traditions of Telangana.”

Revanth Reddy is anticipated to address party concerns in Telangana, especially the projected extension of the state cabinet, during his meeting with senior Congress leaders. In addition to the chief minister, up to eleven cabinet members were sworn in on December 7, and there is still an opportunity to induct an additional six ministers.

“A copy of the resolutions passed by the PCC’s Political Affairs Committee (PAC) on Monday, which included Sonia Gandhi’s plea to run from Telangana in the next Lok Sabha elections, will also be sent in by Revanth Reddy. According to the PCC leader cited above, “He would also seek the approval of the high command to fill vacant corporation chairperson posts and nominated posts.”
