Sajad Lone claims that the party’s philosophy is centered on statehood

The chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference (JKPC), Sajad Lone, said on Sunday that the revival of statehood was a fundamental component of the conference’s philosophy.

He declared his whole trust in his people. “We are going to win, and the National Conference is going to lose.” The National Conference vice-president Omar Abdullah’s claim that the PC is the BJP’s proxy should be dismissed as fantasy by the leader of the NC after their loss, he added.

He said, “I was expecting a Kashmiri to contest from Kashmir,” when asked how he felt about the NC’s choice to nominate Omar Abdullah as the candidate from North Kashmir. We have a tourist in its place, but it doesn’t bother us,” Lone said.

“The partnership between the BJP and NC has victimized us. My father was abused at those times. Shiv Sena was their ally at the time. The then-chief minister of Jammu, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, provided Z security to Kalka ji Maharaj, a prominent member of the Shiv Sena party from Maharashtra. My 72-year-old father had been roughed up by him, Lone said.

On April 2, 2002, Abdul Gani Lone, the head of the Hurriyat Conference and Lone’s father, was heckled and physically assaulted by Kalka Ji Maharaj, the leader of the Shiv Sena, as Lone was speaking to the media during a press conference at the K C Residency hotel in Jammu.

Lone said that during their time as BJP partners, the National Conference imposed POTA in J&K and that Omar Abdullah’s role as foreign minister would conceal violations of human rights occurring in Kashmir. He claimed the task force in J&K was established by the National Conference.

“Like most others, I have experienced torture, incarceration, and the loss of loved ones—my father was murdered. It is the minority that ordered killings, booked individuals under the PSA, and sent them to prison, leaving dead in every community. Their hands are bloodstained, not ours, thus they have no right to lecture me.

Show me evidence if I have met BJP General Secretary Tarun Chugh, he replied in response to a question on his meeting with him. I learned ten days ago that Omar Abdullah met with Amit Shah and begged for assistance in rescuing them from the cricket fraud. Farooq Abdullah first asked for the Union Home Minister’s backing.
