Surendra Koli and Pandher are both exonerated in all charges involving the Nithari killings by the Allahabad High Court, which also vacates their death sentences

Surendra Koli, the main defendant in the notorious “Nithari killings” case involving a string of murders in Noida between 2005 and 2006, was exonerated in 12 instances by the Allahabad High Court on Monday. The 12 cases all resulted in death sentences for Koli.

In two instances where the trial court had sentenced Moninder Singh Pandher to death, the High Court cleared him of all charges. Moninder Singh Pandher’s attorney, Manisha Bhandari, informed reporters in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, that Pandher had won both of his appeals against his conviction in the Nithari case.

Pandher was accused in a total of 6 crimes, and the trial court had executed him in two of them. In each of the 12 appeals brought against Koli, he was found not guilty.

“Moninder Singh Pandher was cleared in both of his appeals by the Allahabad High Court. Six cases were brought against him in all. All appeals brought against Koli have been dismissed here, according to Manisha Bhandari, the Nithari case defendant Moninder Singh Pandher’s attorney, who spoke to media in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

As a result of the Allahabad High Court’s ruling, Koli and Pandher’s death sentences are no longer valid.

The Nithari case relates to the series of murders that occurred between 2005 and 2006 at Moninder Singh Pandher’s residence in the Nithari village neighborhood of Noida. Surinder Koli, Pandher’s domestic helper, is the main accuser.

Following the discovery of a missing child’s body parts in a sewer not far from Pandher’s house, the murders came to light. The number of bones removed from Pandher’s home increased as the inquiry went on.
