Tamil Nadu man detained for attempting to enter a strong room

After breaking into a strong room at the Kammavar Sangam College of Technology late on Monday, a 27-year-old man was taken into custody. Koduvilarpatti resident S Rajesh Kannan, the accused, was once employed at the institution.

The college’s counting center, which is manned by CCTV around-the-clock, serves as a safe haven for polled EVMs, VVPATs, and postal votes utilized in the six assembly seats of Sholavandhan, Usilampatti, Periyakulam, Cumbum, Andipatti, and Bodinayakanur. Additionally, there are close to one hundred police officers stationed outside the strong room.

On Monday, about 1:30 a.m., Rajesh attempted to enter an intoxicated condition. He got into a fight with the cops and yelled profanity when they forbade him from entering. Rajesh was taken into custody by Palanichettipatti police under Sections 448, 188, 294(b), 353, and 506(ii) of the IPC after a complaint filed by Koduvillarpatti VAO J Madhukannan. Additional research is currently being conducted.

Reaction against RO is desired

Chennai: K Balu, the PMK candidate for the Arakkonam parliamentary seat, has officially complained to the CEO, demanding that returning officer S Valarmathi be held accountable for her apparent neglect to address reports of money distribution by the DMK candidate.

Jagath Ratchagan, S. Balu cited incidents in which DMK officials had their money taken.
