Teachers will get inclusive classroom training from SCERT

The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), located in Delhi, said on Monday that a new online course titled “Understanding the Inclusive Classroom” will be available on the DIKSHA site.

A beacon of fairness, justice, and high-quality education, inclusive education serves all children, particularly those who are marginalized because of a handicap, gender, ethnicity, or other traits.

“It is essential for educators to embrace the philosophy of inclusion wholeheartedly, as the National Education Policy 2020 aims to achieve inclusive and equitable quality education by 2030,” said the SCERT circular.

It is imperative that educators, administrators, and other relevant parties foster a favorable outlook on inclusion. This requires a thorough comprehension of inclusive education and a strong belief in the advantages that inclusive practices provide for all students, the statement said.

All DoE instructors have received this training via the DIKSHA-LEAD platform. “Participants are advised to enroll and complete the program as per their convenience by the respective completion date of the program without disturbing their school/institute routine work and will do the program at their own pace and at any place,” said Nahar Singh, Joint Director of SCERT.
