Solan: The proprietors of the destroyed perfume unit have avoided arrest for 12 days

Twelve days after the disastrous fire, three proprietors of the demolished perfume manufacturing business, NR Aromas, remain unarrested, casting doubt on the Baddi police’s operations.

The only people in custody are Vinod Kumar Bilwa, the deputy plant head, and Chandrashekhar, the plant head. Three proprietors, Nilesh Patel, Siddharth Patel, and Milan Patel, had non-bailable warrants issued against them; none of them have been taken into custody as of yet.

The police’s lenient approach toward the factory owners, who continued to have free reign, infuriated the workers who had lost relatives in the industry. Since no one from the Baddi industrial area has passed away, it seems that the authorities have no intention of prosecuting those who are culpable. The victims’ relatives, who did not want to be identified, said, “The migrants have no voice here because the company officials have not extended any financial help nor a word of solace to the affected families despite such a devastating tragedy.”

They also said that there was no concern for the workers who lost their life since no official had been harmed in the tragedy.

According to the police, teams from Madhya Pradesh were camping in Indore, Ratlam, and other locations in order to apprehend the three. Police personnel were reluctant to speak with the media during the Assembly session.
