The election song “Vote den chaliye” has been released for Malerkotla voters

A song called “Vote den chaliye” is making waves on social media and in the constituency, teaching people the importance of voting in a democracy.

The song, which was written by Dr. Anu Gaur and performed by Dr. Arvinder Kaur under the direction of SVEEP nodal officer Parul Raizada, was officially launched today at a short ceremony by District Election Officer-turned-Deputy Commissioner Pallavi. At the function conducted at this Administrative Complex, SSP Simrat Kaur was also present.

DEO Pallavi expressed gratitude for the actions taken by the officials of KMRD Jain College and said that within hours of the song’s release on Tuesday morning, hundreds of voters had taken notice of it on social media.

The creators of the song “utilized Punjabi people’s love of music to their advantage by turning it into a catchy voter awareness campaign,” she said, adding that Additional District Election Officer Rajpal Singh, Assistant Commissioner Harbans Singh, Assistant Returning Officers Aparna MB, and Gurmit Kumar Bansal had been advised to look into the possibility of using employees’ smartphones from various government departments to spread the word as widely as possible. The district’s electioneering mascot, “Samajhdar Begum,” will also be utilized to spread the song’s popularity across the Malerkotla and Amargarh Assembly seats.

The song’s makers attempted to enhance the song’s visual impact by including images of past election-related activities that have taken place in the area. Declaring voting to be a constitutional obligation, the song encourages citizens to ensure that they have their identity cards ready for use at polling places in addition to discussing issues such as community harmony, secularism, youth migration abroad, special arrangements at “pink booths,” and providing sufficient transportation for elderly and ill voters on election day.
