The fourth phase of the Lok Sabha election’s nomination process has begun

On Thursday, the nomination process for the Lok Sabha elections that will take place on May 13th started.

On behalf of the President, the Election Commission issued a notice to that effect on Thursday.

In the fourth phase, elections will be held in as many as 96 seats spread over nine states and the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir.

In this phase, elections will be held in every constituency in Telangana (17) and Andhra Pradesh (25).

On May 13, assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh will take place concurrently with the Lok Sabha elections.

Numerous Lok Sabha seats in Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Jammu and Kashmir will also have polling.

The deadline for submitting nominations was announced by District Magistrate Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.

Nominations must be submitted by April 25 at the latest, and papers will be reviewed on April 26. According to Bhat, the deadline for withdrawing one’s candidacy is April 29.

In the race for the Srinagar Lok Sabha seat, the National Conference has put up Shia leader Aga Ruhullah, while the PDP has put forward its head of the youth wing, Waheed Para. Mohammad Ashraf Mir, a candidate for the Apni Party, is also competing.
