Mumbai Local Train Delays at CSMT, Affecting Harbour Line Services

No people were hurt when a local train carriage on the Harbour Line derailed on Monday morning at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), according to a Central Railway spokesman.

At around 11:35 a.m., a trolley from one of the carriages of a local train from Panvel headed for CSMT derailed as it arrived at platform number 2.

He claimed that no passengers in the impacted cabin had been reported injured.

The official said that the CSMT-bound trains were stopped at Masjid station due to the accident, which also caused disruptions to local train services on the Harbour Line.

He claimed that the repair work is in progress and that trains on the Main Line would not be impacted. The Harbour Line services will run from and to Wadala station.
