Up for a fifth term in the Rajya Sabha, Jaya Bachchan has a total fortune of Rs 1,578 crore

The Samajwadi Party (SP) has nominated veteran actress and politician Jaya Bachchan for a fifth straight term in the Rajya Sabha. Bachchan submitted her nomination papers on Tuesday. As a member of the SP since 2004, the 75-year-old Padma Shri recipient is a well-known pair with her husband, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan. They have disclosed assets totaling an incredible Rs 1,578 crore.

Jaya Bachchan’s personal net worth for the fiscal year 2022–2023 is Rs 1,63,56,190, but Amitabh Bachchan’s is stated to be Rs 273,74,96,590, per an electoral affidavit she submitted.

Their aggregate worth of moveable and immovable property is Rs 849.11 crore and Rs 729.77 crore, respectively. Amitabh Bachchan has a bank balance of Rs 120,45,62,083, while Jaya Bachchan has Rs 10,11,33,172.

The opulent lifestyle of the Bachchans is evident in their belongings, which include of a four-wheeler priced at Rs 9.82 lakh and jewels owned by Jaya valued at Rs 40.97 million. Amitabh Bachchan has a fleet of 16 cars, including two Mercedes and a Range Rover, valued at a combined total of Rs 17.66 crore, in addition to an amazing collection of gold valued at Rs 54.77 crore.
