Vijay Sampla, a Hoshiarpur native, could enter the race

Disgruntled saffron party leader Vijay Sampla is said to be considering a bid for the BJP seat in Hoshiarpur, where MoS Som Parkash’s wife Anita Som Parkash is the party’s nominee.

Sampla has been using cryptic postings since yesterday and has taken the term “Modi Ka Parivar” off of his Facebook and X social media accounts.

While Sampla denied his intention to run for office, his allies said that the senior leader was in negotiations with many parties and would fight from Hoshiarpur “at all costs.”

The open dispute might have a negative impact on the BJP’s chances in Hoshiarpur, which is one of the saffron party’s strongholds in the state.

This seat was won by Sampla in 2014 and Som Parkash in 2019.

“Sampla will not relinquish the claim over Hoshiarpur,” according to sources. He is negotiating with a number of stakeholders. He is also eligible to run as an independent. The public is not pleased with Sampla’s marginalization. Anita is a dynast, right?

Sampla traveled to Delhi today amid rumors. “All reports of joining another party or running as an independent are untrue,” he said. My purpose for being in Delhi is to avoid this discussion.

“Vijay Sampla is a respected BJP leader,” said MoS Som Parkash. He has consistently supported the BJP in similar circumstances in the past. I have no doubt that he will do so right now.

Sampla referred to Som Parkash’s 2019 fielding from Hoshiaprur as “cow slaughter” on Twitter.
