Boxer Tommy Fury defeats KSI in an exhibition match at the AO Arena
On Saturday at Manchester’s AO Arena, YouTuber KSI lost against Tommy Fury through a points decision.
Both fighters landed few clean blows in a six-round cruiserweight contest that lacked technical proficiency. In the second round, Fury also lost a point for striking KSI in the back of the head.
One of the three judges gave it a score of 57–57, while the other two gave Fury the victory by a score of 57–56. In his post-fight interview, KSI referred to the decision as a “robbery.”
Tyson Fury, the heavyweight champion, has a younger half-brother named Fury. Olajide Olatunji, KSI’s true name, has competed in a number of exhibition fights, twice taking on Jake Paul’s brother Logan.
According to the BBC, the bout was not recognized as a professional boxing contest by the British Boxing Board of Control.
