Indian women effortlessly secure triumph

In a display of clinical bowling mastery, Pacers Renuka Singh and Pooja Vastrakar claimed five wickets collectively, orchestrating India’s compelling victory over Bangladesh by a margin of 44 runs in today’s inaugural women’s T20I encounter.

Opting to bat first, captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Yastika Bhatia exemplified resilience in the middle order. However, India fell short of a spectacular finish, posting a total of 145/7. Although the hosts may have harbored hopes of pursuing the target, the Indian bowlers, spearheaded by Renuka, rose to the occasion, restricting Bangladesh to a mere 101/8.

Summary of scores: India: 145/7 (Yastika 36, Shafali 31, Harmanpreet 30; Rabeya 3/23); Bangladesh: 101/8 (Sultana 51; Renuka 3/18, Vastrakar 2/25).
