Ishan Kishan Receives Rohit Sharma’s Hilarious Request: “Birthday Gift Tu Hum ko Dey Bhai”

Rohit Sharma has provided us with a number of unforgettable experiences throughout the years, both on and off the field. The India skipper provided another memorable answer to a question ahead of the second Test match against the West Indies in Trinidad. His clever replies to questions have often grabbed headlines.

On Wednesday, Ishan Kishan had a birthday. When Rohit was asked what he was going to get his India and Mumbai Indians colleague, he broke the wicketkeeper-batter’s heart with a hefty request.

“How about a birthday present, brother Tereko? Toh hai bhai, sub. Team of mine is doing well. (What do you want, sir? You are well equipped. will need to consult the group. We should consult the group on this. The team should have made a contribution.

You should give us a birthday present by making 100 runs, Rohit said. “Birthday gift tu hum logo ko dey bhai.”

Rohit seems to have handed Ishan an early birthday present, though, by giving him his Test debut in the series opener in Dominica. He didn’t have much opportunity to use his bat since the Indian innings was announced after Rohit requested him to activate his account.

On a wicket that was turning and featuring players like Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, Ishan was pretty brilliant behind the stumps.

Ishan is a really gifted individual. In cricket’s limited overs format, he has two centuries. We must offer him additional opportunities to demonstrate his skills. He enjoys batting with aggression. He needs that, I’ve had a clear conversation with him, and I’ve given him complete freedom,” Rohit added.

“I want to draw attention to his wicketkeeping. Considering he was playing his first Test on a field where the ball was swirling and bouncing, he maintained pretty well. Some players stayed low. It’s unfortunate that he only scored one since we had to announce. He’ll be ready and eager to go when he gets to bat more, I’m sure, the coach said.
