Records Fall as India Takes Control of the Second Test Against the West Indies Thanks to Virat Kohli’s Unbeaten 87

A number of significant events occurred on Day 1 of the second Test between India and the West Indies at Port of Spain. Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja helped put their team in the lead at the conclusion of play. After the third session, India had a final score of 288/4. Prior to Day 2, the 34-year-old is about to score his 76th century. Rohit also reached a significant milestone by surpassing the 2000 run threshold for Test openers and finishing the 2000 run threshold for the World Test Championship (WTC).

In the year 2023, Virat also reached the milestone of 2000 runs in WTC history and surpassed all previous run scorers in Test cricket.
