Response from Lionel Messi to Paraguayan Player “Spitting at Him”

After it was claimed that Antonio Sanabria, a striker for Paraguay, spit at Lionel Messi during Argentina’s World Cup qualifying match, Sanabria sparked outrage around the football world. After a heated argument after the game, it was claimed that the Paraguayan striker spit at Messi. The fact is that I didn’t notice anything, Messi said to the press, according to news source MARCA. One of them had spat on me, they informed me in the locker room. The World Cup champion from Argentina stated, “I don’t even know who this man is, to tell you the truth. I missed seeing him. Only they told me. Messi went on to say that he did not want to pay much attention to the problem because if the suspected player appeared to discuss it, things would only grow worse. He’s going to come out and speak, and it’s going to become worse. It’s best to keep it there because it will eventually become known, Messi continued.

Later on, Antonio Sanabria did provide TyC Sports his account of what happened. It seems like I spat on it, but there is nothing to see, he remarked. In the picture that is going around the internet, Sarabia also said that he was quite a distance away from the Argentine. The accusations made against him were categorically refuted by him. It was far away, therefore it had nothing to do with me. I completely reject it, he said.

On October 13, a World Cup qualifying game between Argentina and Paraguay took place in the Estadio Mas Monumental, and it turned out to be an exciting game. The game’s lone goal was scored by Argentina’s defender Nicolas Otamendi in the third minute, and their staunch defense was able to maintain the score until the final whistle. Only coming into the game in the 53rd minute, Lionel Messi twice struck the crossbar while on the pitch. The Inter Miami player tried a “Olimpico” as well in an effort to increase his team’s advantage.

‘Olimpico’ refers, for the uninitiated, to a goal that is scored straight off a corner kick. His shot cleared the goalie and other players before rebounding off the top of the goalpost.

After missing three critical games for Inter Miami, Lionel Messi is now on international duty. His absence from Major League Soccer (MLS) has significantly lowered the American team’s performance level. This season, the Herons were unable to earn a postseason spot in MLS. The David Beckham-owned team, however, hasn’t had a horrible season since they just won the Leagues team trophy, courtesy to some outstanding performances by Messi in the tournament. As he won the cup for his team, he won both the best player and top scorer trophies. The Argentine will want to assist his team in winning the domestic league championship the next season after the international break.
