Delhi, New: Ajay Bisaria, the former Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan, said that former Pakistan captain and Prime Minister Imran Khan had previously thought of Virat Kohli as being better than the great Sachin Tendulkar.

“Because everything else comes after cricket, which is a subcontinental religion,” he exclaimed. India and Pakistan have excellent diplomatic ties, even though cricket is revered as a religion in both nations.

According to Bisaria, “sports diplomacy has been a very important tool of the people-to-people diplomacy.” Cricket diplomacy has often served as a springboard for bilateral diplomacy.
