Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to Varanasi, his parliamentary district, and Gorakhpur, both in Uttar Pradesh.

He is anticipated to participate in a number of events, introduce new initiatives, and address a gathering of BJP members.

PM Modi will attend the Gita Press centennial celebrations.
The concluding event for the Gita Press centennial festivities will be where the prime minister first arrives, according to reports.

During the closing ceremony, Prime Minister Modi will visit the Lila Chitra temple and take photos with the trustees of the publisher of holy books, according to Lalmani Tripathi, the manager of Gita Press. Tripathi said he would also address a crowd there.

Modi will start the Vande Bharat trains.
According to Chief Public Relations Officer (NER) Pankaj Kumar Singh, PM Modi will flag off the North Eastern Railway’s first semi-high-speed Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat train from platform number 1 at Gorakhpur Junction after the Gita Press event.

A second Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express will also be launched on this occasion through video conference.

Anandiben Patel, the governor of Uttar Pradesh, and Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister, will be present.

The PM will attend other events
In the evening, PM Modi is anticipated to go to Varanasi.

The prime minister “will lay the foundation stones of various projects worth Rs. 1,800 crore and inaugurate projects worth Rs. 10,000 crore,” according to Varanasi Divisional Commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma.

In addition to other projects, “he will lay foundation stones for an international cricket stadium and three rail overbridges,” Sharma added.

The divisional commissioner said that the prime minister would also inaugurate a 10-story international dorm at the Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and that he is also expected to flag off water taxis.

PM Modi will spend the night at the Bharat Locomotive Works guest bungalow.

According to reports, the prime minister will arrive at the Varanasi airport on Friday evening from Gorakhpur. From there, he will take a helicopter to Wajidpur where he will speak at a rally that is predicted to draw more than 50,000 party members.

The PM is anticipated to have “Tiffin par charcha” with the party members after the gathering, according to district BJP sources.

Security and medical plans are in place
Officials claim that 34 physicians and 90 paramedics will be on duty, and that “safe houses” have been established at three locations, including Gita Press, the district hospital, and AIIMS.

Additionally, they claimed, BRD Medical College and the Air Force Hospital have been designated as referral centers with specialty physicians on call around-the-clock.

Eight SPs, eight additional SPs, 22 circle officers, 40 inspectors, 190 sub-inspectors, 1,500 constables, three companies of PAC and three companies of paramilitary forces, NSG commandos, snipers, and 500 GRP and RPF jawans will be on duty to provide impenetrable security during the PM’s visit, according to ADG Akhil Kumar.

Authorities in both areas have in the meanwhile put much planning into the PM’s visit.

Transportation restrictions
According to authorities, the buses in Gorakhpur that go to Lucknow, Varanasi, Kanpur, Delhi, and Kushinagar will depart from Champa Devi Park.

They said that movement of cars and e-rickshaws would be limited and that buses serving the Sonouli, Bargadwa, and Maharajganj routes will halt close to the medical campus.

From 1 to 4 PM, buses would not be allowed to enter the city of Gorakhpur, according to the authorities.
