Lucknow: 46-Year-Old Man Leaps Off Balcony and Stabs Wife to Death

In front of their two children, ages 13 and 12, Aditya Kapoor, 46, fatally stabbed his wife Shivani Kapoor, 43, and then leaped from the balcony of their first-floor residential flat.

The altercation on Sunday resulted in injuries to the alleged spouse.

He is now being treated for injuries at the trauma center at King George Medical University (KGMU) while in police arrest.

Shivani Kapoor and Aditya Kapoor have been wed for 14 years, according to Aparna Rajat Kaushik, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for Lucknow Central.

Due to deteriorating ties, the couple had been living apart for almost six months. Aditya stayed in a different Mahanagar home, while Shivani and their two kids occupied the first-floor apartment at the Aalya Apartments.

When an alcoholic Aditya came at his wife’s apartment, the event happened.

Shivani resisted opening the door at first, but gave in when Aditya started yelling that she wanted to see their kids.

After a fight, Aditya lost his temper and attacked his wife with a kitchen knife.

The kids saw as their mother was repeatedly stabbed before Aditya suffered a head injury when she leapt from the first-floor balcony.

The culprit was apprehended by other apartment complex residents and security personnel, who then immediately called the police.

Shivani’s dead corpse was found on the dining table when the police got on the scene.

Shivani’s corpse was then submitted for a postmortem investigation, and Aditya was sent to the hospital for treatment.

The kids told the cops the whole story of what happened. Aditya Kapoor worked at his maternal uncle Pappu’s clothes business in Aminabad and received rent from many stores in the same neighborhood.
