The Noida government threatens severe legal action after reclaiming land from illegal colonizers valued at over Rs 300 crore!

Noida: During a month-long operation aiming against illegal colonizers, the Noida government reportedly seized around 56,885 square meters of property, according to officials. Based on current market pricing, this land, which is spread over 12 places in eight villages, is worth Rs 236.80 crore. In addition, the Noida Authority launched a vigorous drive on Monday to remove encroachers from approximately 12,000 square meters of land they had been occupying illegally. This restored land is estimated by officials to be worth around Rs 95 crores. The operation, which concentrated on the Noida Authority’s work circle-6 region, is in line with the master plan for the authority.

In the meantime, Lokesh M, the CEO of Noida Authority, has warned anybody trying to forcibly take possession of property that the authority has designated that they risk serious legal ramifications. Bulldozers were used to tear down unauthorised buildings that had been built on encroached territory, a top Authority official said. The Civic and Land Department was responsible for carrying out these measures. In order to put strong measures in place against those who unlawfully usurp government property, construct unauthorized residential or commercial activities, and lure “unsuspecting buyers” with inexpensive plots, CEO Lokesh M has directed the property and Civil Departments to work closely together.

In Sector-79, around 12,000 square meters of land were released. Boundary walls were erected and charting was done on the property without permission. The land is estimated to be worth Rs 95 crore.
