The State of Uttar Pradesh’s Government Is Building A Network Of 32 Industrial Cities Along 5 Expressways

Along the state’s five expressways, the Uttar Pradesh government has chosen to establish a network of 32 industrial cities.

These industrial cities will be developed as part of the Yogi Adityanath-led UP government’s ambition to grow the state’s GDP to $1 trillion.

The initiative, according to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led UP administration of Adityanath, would provide jobs for thousands of people.

The UP government stated in a post on Twitter on Saturday that a network of 32 industrial cities will be established along the five expressways in Uttar Pradesh under the direction of CM Yogi Adityanath. 84 communities in 23 districts along three expressways have been identified as part of this initiative. Land acquisition would now begin in these communities. The expressways would be used to construct these industrial cities. This will expedite the state’s effort to build a $1 trillion economy. Additionally, employment would be created for lakhs.

The Purvanchal Expressway from Lucknow to Gazipur, the Ganga Expressway from Meerut to Prayagraj, and the Bundelkhand Expressway from Etawah to Chitrakoot are the three expressways that have been identified. The project will be carried out by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA).

According to a study released by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, 100–600 acres of land will be acquired for every industrial city. Investors would be given plots when the land was acquired according on their needs.

The sectors that would be prioritized in these 32 industrial cities include logistics, food processing, chemical, dairy, information technology (IT), etc.

The UP administration has made the decision to put the suggestions made at the global investors conference earlier this year in February into action, noting that the state of UP has the greatest network of expressways in the nation.
