UP: Two-year-old Passes Away Following Stepfather’s Abuse

The incident happened on Thursday night in the district’s Hayat Nagar neighborhood, according to the police. Munna (27), according to Superintendent of Police Kuldeep Singh Gunawat, married Shaista Begum about five months ago. She had been married before and had two children.

Munna, who was intoxicated, beat Shaistan Begum and her children Mannat, age two, and Mantasha, age three and a half, on Thursday night. According to Gunawat, Mantasha and her mother suffered severe injuries, but Mannat passed away instantly. The mother and daughter who were hurt have been transferred to Moradabad for medical attention, he said.

The SP said that Munna was taken into custody on Thursday night and that the corpse has been submitted for a post-mortem examination.
