During Ganesh Chaturthi, a Mumbai teen perishes after being struck by lightning at Juhu Beach

In a terrifying occurrence, a 16-year-old died in Mumbai’s Juhu Chowpatty after being hit by lightning. Hasan Yusuf Shaikh has been recognized as the adolescent. Investigations showed Shaikh had gone to Juhu beach by himself to see the Ganpati immersion. He was hit by lightning, though, which resulted in his unlucky fall into the river.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Mahesh Mugutrao was quoted as saying, “Prima facie it looks that he had come alone to witness the Ganesh idol immersion at the chowpatty. He was not accompanied by any pandal, nor was there any Ganpati with him. He was hit by lightning while standing by the sea at the beach and fell into it.

Hasan’s corpse was discovered near the beach, and he was taken right away to Cooper Hospital. He was pronounced dead there.

At first, it was believed that the adolescent drowned. Later on, it was learned that he had indeed been hit by lightning. On the beach, a lifeguard saw the whole episode. A case of accidental death has been reported and the lifeguard’s statement has been recorded.

This occurs only one day after three ladies in a hamlet in Chhattisgarh’s Balod district were murdered when lightning hit them. The event happened late on Wednesday as the victims were working in a rice field in Kisna village, which is near the Devri Bangla police station.

Chameli Nishad, her daughter-in-law Kamin Nishad, and Bisantin Sahu have been named as the dead. According to a police officer, the three ladies sought refuge behind a tree as it began to rain. They suffered severe injuries as a result of the lightning strike at this time. The ladies were taken by several neighbors to a community health center in Devri, where they were pronounced dead.
