Thousands, if not lakhs, of Indian cricket fans hold Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar in high regard due to his incomparable contributions to the game and his indisputable talent, which is still unrivaled today. Everyone in the audience knows that when Tendulkar goes onto the field, magic is sure to happen and runs begin to flow as easily as a river, so the sheer sight of him holding the bat excites them. When the 50-year-old batsman graced the ISPL 2024, which united cricket players with the entertainment sector, there was a great deal of excitement around him.

But in the excitement of seeing him compete, an unexpected turn of events occurred when Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui rejected him, bringing an unexpected drama to the show and providing one of the rarest moments to ever grace the field.

Tendulkar faced the second ball of Munawar’s first over after scoring a rapid thirty runs off of only sixteen deliveries. Tendulkar made a bold effort to hit a ball outside the off-stump, but he misplayed the shot and wicketkeeper Naman Ojha caught him at gully. This caused the stadium to go silent, as the announcer put it.

Tendulkar, who recently visited Kashmir, formed a close relationship with Amir Hussain Lone, the captain of J&K’s para-cricket squad, with whom he shared the opening pair. Tendulkar was amazed by Lone’s incredible talent and fortitude, in spite of his impairments.

Nevertheless, Khiladi XI was defeated by only 5 runs after Tendulkar’s Master’s XI set a difficult goal of 95 runs in 10 overs.

For those who don’t know, the Indian Street Cricket League (ISPL) began play on March 6 with a match between Srinagar Ke Veer, owned by Akshay Kumar, and Majhi Mumbai, led by Amitabh Bachchan. However, there was a unique cricket match during the opening ceremony before the start of the first match. Sachin Tendulkar’s “Team Master’s XI” defeated Team Khiladi XI, led by Akshay Kumar.
