Bihar Horror: Mid-party in Darbhanga, the camera stops working, and a bullet is shot into the videographer’s mouth

In a horrifying incident, a videographer who went to capture a birthday party in the Darbhanga region of Bihar was shot and killed for supposedly not recording the whole event. The incident happened on Wednesday night in Makhnaha village, which is within Darbhanga’s Baheri police station.

After being shot in the mouth, the deceased, named as Sushil Kumar Sahni, was taken to Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), but he passed away from his wounds while receiving treatment, the Times of India said.

According to the report, accused co-villager Rakesh Sahni hired Sushil to film his daughter’s birthday festivities on camera.

But in the midst of the celebration, Sushil’s camera’s battery failed, cutting short the film.

Rakesh shot him in the mouth after abusing him in a fit of rage over this.

Fearing that they would be discovered, the accused and his associates hurried Sushil to DMCH, but they abandoned him at the hospital gate and fled.

Sushil was taken to the emergency department right after by hospital officials, where he passed away while receiving care, according to authorities.

Locals, incensed at the event, demanded the accused’s quick arrest on Thursday morning while blocking traffic on Laheriasarai Main Road. After Benipur SDPO Sumit Kumar arrived and calmed the protesting locals, the roadblock was lifted.

“The deceased’s father filed a formal complaint against Rakesh, who fled the scene after the event. Based on preliminary findings, Rakesh is also engaged in the illicit booze trade. According to the TOI report, the SDPO said, “We have detained three people for questioning in this regard, and raids are being carried out to apprehend the accused.”
