A market veteran feels that the highest-paid Indian CEO, who receives a compensation package of Rs 1800 crore, may be sacked or step down

At now, Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Alphabet, the parent company of Google, is the highest paid Indian CEO globally, with a pay package above Rs 1800 crore annually. Sundar Pichai, an IIT graduate, has been leading Google for a while now, but a market insider says his time is almost up. Given how quickly artificial intelligence (AI) is being adopted worldwide and how the major internet companies are scrambling to improve their AI tools, one analyst thinks Pichai’s departure may have something to do with Google’s AI platform Gemini. After the disaster involving Google’s AI platform Gemini, Samir Arora, the founder of Helios Capital, predicts that Sundar Pichai will either resign or be fired.

Samir Arora made this remark in response to a commenter on X who said that Google Gemini is denying the existence of White people. “I predict that he will be let go or resign, as he ought to. He was leading the charge on AI, but he has totally failed at it and let others to take the lead. Arora replied to users X in writing.

For those who don’t know, Google is in hot water due to errors in its historical photos produced by AI. In a recent blog post, Google Senior Vice President Prabhakar Raghavan acknowledged that it is evident that “this feature missed the mark.”

A few of the pictures that are produced are untrue or even insulting. We apologize that the functionality didn’t function properly and appreciate the input from users, Raghavan added.

In a nutshell, two items. Initially, Raghavan clarified, “We tuned Gemini to show a range of people, but we neglected to account for cases that should clearly not show a range.”

Furthermore, the model misinterpreted certain very anodyne cues as sensitive over time and became much more cautious than “we intended and refused to answer certain prompts entirely.”
