India modeled for the world post-pandemic progress in FM Sitharaman Nirmala

India illuminated the global path beyond the pandemic with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. A ‘White Paper’ pledged by the finance minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, is poised to intensify the critique against the Congress.

On Thursday, the FM articulated that while the world grappled with a crisis spanning food, fertilizer, fuel, and finances post-pandemic, “India adeptly navigated the challenges. Moreover, the nation not only demonstrated the path forward but also fostered consensus on remedies for these global predicaments.”

This optimistic tone aligns seamlessly with the BJP’s narrative of India’s ascent as a global player under Modi and his vision for a transformative leap, propelling the nation into developed status by 2047.

Indications of forthcoming initiatives were articulated in both a sweeping visionary context and specific commitments. These include the provision of two crore additional homes for the underprivileged over the next five years. Additionally, a program aims to assist the “deserving segments of the middle class” residing in rented accommodations, slums, or chawls, along with unauthorized colonies, to acquire or construct homes.

The rooftop solar power initiative is set to target one crore households, affording them up to 300 units of complimentary electricity each month. The FM highlighted that this initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s commitment on the day of the consecration of the idol in Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir.

Among the identified sectors for future programs are the “tech-savvy youth.” The budget proposes the establishment of a corpus of Rs 1 lakh crore with a 50-year interest-free loan, aimed at providing long-term financing or refinancing with extended tenors and minimal to zero interest rates. Beyond its merits, this approach brilliantly intertwines the government and its leader with an ambitious cohort, poised to become the nucleus for an ever-expanding array of innovations, from the accessible realm of coding to the promising frontiers of AI and quantum computing.

The budget signifies another earnest endeavor to align the nation with the global thrust for green energy, with Sitharaman presenting an impressive blueprint encompassing e-vehicles, circular economy practices, and environmentally compliant innovations in bio-plastics and bio-pharma.
