Meet Shashi Soni, a Padma Shri recipient recognized for her contributions to trade and business

A total of four business professionals were named among the recipients of the Padma Shri and Padma Vibhushan awards. There are two females among them. Shashi Soni, the creator of the software business IZMO limited, is one of them. The home ministry revealed the Padma award winners before to Republic Day. In the Trade and Industry category, Shashi Soni will get the Padma Shri Award. As the biggest automotive solution supplier in the world, Shashi Soni’s firm, IZMO Limited, has made her a well-known figure in the business world. With an initial investment of Rs 10,000, the 69-year-old started Deep Transport in 1971 and operated it till 1975.

Further accounts state that she had significant challenges throughout the first ten years of her career. Her difficulties began to turn into success once Oxygen Private Limited was founded in Mysore. She entered the technical area as the company began to expand.

She established IZMO limited in 2005 with the goal of offering market solutions. Currently, this firm is listed on the BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) and NSE (National Stock Exchange), and it offers high-tech automotive and e-retailing solutions in areas including the US, Europe, and Asia.

Shashi Soni is a philanthropist who supports women and the handicapped in addition to his professional endeavors. She is a part of the Deep Public Service Committee, which works to support employment, raise money for the handicapped, educate women, and start pension plans.

A number of esteemed honors have been bestowed upon her, including the 1990 Mahila Gaurav Award. In addition, Shashi served on the directorate of technical development’s and the All India Industrial Gas Manufacturing Association’s governing committees.
