NHAI to raise Mumbai E-way toll prices by 5%

The Sohna elevated highway and Mumbai Motorway now have toll increases of around 5%, according to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Starting on April 1, the new toll charges will be in effect. The Kherki Daula toll plaza’s toll charges have not, however, been raised by the authorities.

Within the boundaries of Gurugram, there are toll plazas at Ghamdoj on the Gurugram-Sohna Highway, Kherkidaula on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway, Alipur on the Delhi-Mumbai Motorway and Hilalpur on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway. Currently, a vehicle ride on the Sohna Highway costs Rs 115, but it will soon cost around Rs 125 one way.

The current Delhi-Mumbai Motorway toll charge would also rise by an average of 5%, costing an additional Rs 125 to users who use the motorway to go from Gurugram to Jaipur.

On the motorway, the average toll charge changes depending on the distance travelled. Currently, the average toll from Alipur to Barkapara is Rs 2.19 per kilometre. The toll for the 181 kilometres from Jaipur-Dausa to Bhandarraj is Rs 395, or an average of Rs 2.18. There is a toll of Rs 2.24 up to Pinan to travel to Alwar. The average toll from Alipur to Khalilpur is the most costly. Tolls to Khalilpur are levied at an average of Rs 4.73.

The NHAI Manager, Jaivardhan Singh, states that this motorway would not see an increase of more than 5%.

“In addition to the Mumbai Motorway toll till Barkapara, one would need to pay an additional Rs 125 if they wanted to travel on the Delhi-Mumbai Motorway via Rajiv Chowk in Gurugram. The Ghamdoj toll plaza on the Sohna Highway must be crossed in order to proceed on the section, he said. The only reprieve is that the Kherki Daula toll charges are not currently rising.
