What Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, Had to Say About Elon Musk, the head of X-Corp

According to Apple CEO Tim Cook, he has “some things about” Elon Musk’s X (previously Twitter) that he doesn’t like.

In an interview with CBS, Cook referred to the platform’s apparent anti-semitism issue as “abhorrent,” but he also said, “Twitter is an important property; I like the concept that it’s there for discourse.”

But when asked whether Apple should run ads on X, he said that this is a question the business “constantly” poses to itself.

Further, the release date of the Vision Pro was questioned of the Apple CEO since there have been rumors that the headset is experiencing production difficulties. Cook responded that the Vision Pro is still on track by restating his remarks from last week’s iPhone 15 “Wonderlust” presentation.

Cook said that the obstacles experienced in developing the iPhone were “more complex” when asked whether they were similar to those faced in developing the Vision Pro.

Cook was cited as stating, “No, it’s more complex, so it requires innovation in both the development and the manufacturing.”

Additionally, the discussion of Apple’s environmental goals and the carbon footprint of the new Apple Watch Series 9 were included in the conversation.

Cook said that he wants Apple to show that being carbon neutral is financially feasible so that other businesses may “rip it off.” According to the firm, Apple’s total carbon impact is declining.

As part of its bold 2030 climate target, Apple stopped using leather in all of its product lines.

In lieu of leather, the brand will use FineWoven, a stylish and robust twill created from 68% post-consumer recycled material.

Apple is aiming to cut emissions by 90% by 2050 in addition to its 2030 target, which will require it to push for further cooperation between corporations, governments, and citizens to advance the fight against climate change globally.
