After the concert in Mumbai, fans praised Diljit Dosanjh, saying, “You Are Our Bieber, Our Travis.”

Following the April 12 premiere of his film Amar Singh Chamkila on the over-the-top platform Netflix, Diljit Dosanjh is now generating waves. In addition to his moving performance in the movie, he made a lasting impression on the frontline artist roster after his performance with Ed Sheeran in Mumbai last month.

When Diljit returned to the Mumbai stage on April 13, his supporters were unable to contain their excitement. Diljit conveyed his sincere appreciation to Imtiaz Ali, the director of Amar Singh Chamkila, during his performance. He gave Imtiaz a lot of praise and thanks for letting him be in the film. “Mei actor toh hu nhi, par jo film achii lagti hai, wo karleta hoon,” he said with much fervor.

As soon as he spotted the poster, he continued, praising all of his admirers, saying, “Hoega Bieber, hoega Travis, sadda ta ae hi hai.” He remarked that artists from their own country are not supported by Indians. They always like to commend foreign artists for their research in the arts. He asked his followers to give Indian musicians greater encouragement.

Diljit Dosanjh performed a Punjabi version of his hit song “Lover” last month at an event with British singer Ed Sheeran. As Ed Sheeran sang the song in Punjabi, the audience’s applause lit up the whole arena. Ed Sheeran and Diljit Dosanjh both posted concert pictures on Instagram.

The weekend saw British singer Ed Sheeran and Indian musician Diljit Dosanjh dazzle the Mumbai stage with a Punjabi version of the latter’s famous song “Lover.” The duet quickly went viral on India’s social media.

The audience erupted in excitement as Sheeran called his singing partner onto the platform, and both musicians shared recordings of their performances on Instagram.
