Arshad Warsi discusses nepotism in Bollywood and claims that certain performers get several opportunities: You are doomed if you offer one flip

Arshad Warsi has spoken out about how commonplace nepotism and favouritism are in the film industry. The actor, who won plaudits for his performance in the most recent film, Asur 2, spoke out about the advantages some performers in the business have, where they are given numerous chances to create a blockbuster but for others, if there is one disaster, the actor is “doomed.”

Regarding Arshad Warsi
With the 1996 drama Tere Mere Sapne, which Jaya Bachchan produced and Joy Augustine directed, Arshad Warsi made his acting debut. The actor later became well-known for his roles in films like Ishqiya, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Dhamaal, and Munna Bhai MBBS.

On nepotism, Arshad Warsi
The actor discussed nepotism and favouritism in the profession in a recent interview with Humans of Bombay. When questioned whether the actor faces a steep uphill battle in the event of a failure, he said, “It is a terrible thing, but what can you do? A certain group of performers has a bit more luxury than the others. Yes, I’m referring about young people involved in the film business. There are also some who have no connection to the sector. I can’t complain since the film business has helped me much. I adore it and always offer them thanks. I sincerely appreciate Joy Augustine, Jaya Bachchan, and Amitabh Bachchan every morning for giving me everything I have. So, although I have nothing against the industry, this is the standard.

On the countless opportunities some performers get
What separates those associated with the sector from those who are not, Arshad said, “I’m not even grumbling; I just accept it. Sad to say, if I had children, I probably would have done the same things. However, it is a challenging task. A certain group of actors will have several opportunities to provide a hit, whereas another group will not. If you make one mistake, you are doomed; you must fight your way back from the brink. That is a tragic aspect, then.

Asur 2, Arshad’s most recent film, is presently available for viewing on Jio Cinema.
