Bhamini Oza, the wife of Pratik Gandhi, will portray Mahatma Gandhi’s wife Kasturba in Hansal Mehta’s upcoming

The cast of the forthcoming television serial Gandhi has finally disclosed that Pratik Gandhi’s wife, Bhamini Oza, would portray the legendary figure on film on the 155th anniversary of her birth. Pratik Gandhi, who plays Mahatma Gandhi in the series, has a real-life spouse named Bhamini.

She said, “Being Kasturba Gandhi feels like a beautiful twist of fate in my acting journey.” It’s a dream come true to work with Hansal Mehta and the Applause Entertainment crew, particularly with my spouse Pratik.”
“We’ve dreamed of sharing the screen together since our early days in theatre, and now it’s finally happening,” the actress said. My goal is to give the character integrity and a sincere connection with the narrative.

“I’ve known Bhamini as a terrific actor—she is formidable on stage,” director Hansal Mehta said. It is a true honour to see her portraying the role of a lifetime. Finding Kastur via Bhamini’s performance is an even more memorable experience.

Concerning the series
The forthcoming television series is a biographical historical drama and was created by Hansal Mehta. It started production in 2023. The next television series is expected to go deeply into many aspects of Mahatma Gandhi’s life, including his early deeds in South Africa and his transformation into the ‘Father of the Nation’.

For those who don’t know, Pratik Gandhi previously played Gandhiji in the Gujarati drama Mohan No Masalo by Manoj Shah. The next season will also be filmed in the UK and South Africa.
