Farida Jalal Joins The Ensemble in the Akshay Kumar Film Welcome To The Jungle: Inside Information

The 75-year-old Farida Jalal has joined the cast of the third Welcome franchise film, Welcome To The Jungle, starring Akshay Kumar. As per a Hindustan Times source, she is now filming the comedy in Mumbai.

The insider informed the entertainment site, “Farida ji takes up fewer projects nowadays due to her age and because she’s selective about the work she does. However, she was on board when she heard the script and found it to be a family entertainer.” She has been consistent throughout the years: from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) to Batti Gul Meter Chalu (2018), she has starred in movies that families can watch together.

The film, which was directed by Ahmed Khan, has a large cast. Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Raveena Tandon, Jacqueliene Fernandez, and Disha Patani are among them. Raveena recently discussed the movie in an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha. Regarding it, the actress said how much fun it has been to film with the whole group. “I believe there is a sizable celebration taking on there! We’re having a great time. It was such a blast to shoot, she said.

Disha Patani, meanwhile, confirmed that she is filming the movie on Instagram Stories on Friday morning.

The film’s tremendous star cast and unique angle from the two previous films created quite a stir when the first teaser was released last year. Additionally, Shreyas Talpade spoke candidly about it in a special conversation with News18 Showsha. “This is a funny and interesting story about these guys getting together and doing a kind of stunt.” The instructions were fairly clear: have some fun on the set and make sure we keep the audience entertained. “I’m excited for our upcoming big schedule in March,” he had previously said.

On December 20 of this year, Welcome to the Jungle, the third installment of the Welcome series, will finally open in theaters after considerable anticipation.
