Music Icons Who Treated Miley Cyrus Like a “Little Sister”

The singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus has acknowledged that a number of well-known figures in the music industry greatly aided her during one of her debut performances.

Miley recalled how the two treated her like their little sister during the massive performance at Fashion Rocks in 2008.

The thing that stands out in my mind about this performance is that I was seated between two of the greatest legends and idols of the period, and they treated me like a little sister the whole time.

She persisted in making fun of the fact that she had “brackets on the back of my teeth” while performing on stage alongside Beyonce, according to Mirror.co.uk. Playing the video again, Miley saw her performance again in front of the camera, her face beaming with delight. And before imitating Queen Bey’s stunning notes, she took a minute to ridicule her awkward hand movement during her solo.

In the opening scene of her own shot when Miley debuted the contentious track “Wrecking Ball” ten years ago, she paid homage to the Nothing Compares 2 U music video. Sinead, who passed away last month at the age of 56, responded to the touching homage by cautioning Miley against being sexualized in the music business.
