On India’s Best Dancer 3, Badshah Makes a Sly Reference to Adipurush

Adipurush, starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan, has received a lot of negative feedback from viewers since its debut. Other famous people who criticized the movie were Mukesh Khanna, Arun Govil, Dipika Chikhlia, Vindu Dara Singh, and Karan Suchak. Rapper Badshah is the most recent name on the list.

When Badhshah joined the most recent episode of India’s Best Dancer Season 3, he recently made a subtle jab at Prabhas’ movie. The judges singled out candidate Shivanshu Soni’s Ramayana act for appreciation among all the others. Interestingly, Badshah made a clever comment to praise the dancer-choreographer team for their amazing choreography. “600 crores ke bina 600 crores vali feel de di aapne,” the Kala Chashma singer said.

For the uninitiated, Om Raut’s Adipurush, which is similarly based on the Hindu legendary epic Ramayana, is said to have cost between Rs 500 and Rs 600 crore to produce. Kriti portrays Janaki and Saif of Lankesh in the film, while Prabhas plays the part of Raghav. Sunny Singh plays Shesh in the movie, while Devdatta Nage plays Bajrang.

The movie has, however, received a lot of negative feedback on social media since its premiere. Despite criticism of the film’s language from viewers, the notorious “kapda tere baap ka” line was modified last month.

The dialogue writer for Adipurush, Manoj Muntashir Shukla, also used his social media account earlier this month to express his unequivocal regret for offending anyone’s feelings. “I recognize that Adipurush has harmed people’s feelings. I offer my sincere apologies with hands folded. May Prabhu Bajrang Bali keep us all together and give us the fortitude to serve our beautiful country and the holy Sanatan,” he said. Here is a link to his tweet:
