Plaster, Prince Kanwaljit’s next web series, is based on an actual event

Plaster, an intriguing criminal thriller starring actor-writer Prince Kanwaljit, is now available for streaming on Chaupal. The cast of this Punjabi web series, which is directed by Mehul Gadani, was all praise for Prince KJ since it is not only well-written but also has an effect on viewers. After all, if Prince KJ hadn’t come up with the idea in the first place, Warning, Panchhi, and Outlaw wouldn’t have succeeded.

“It’s a very happy moment for me,” he said. I once spoke with Gippy Grewal about a tale about his buddy who shattered his leg and needed a plaster put on, and that’s when the idea for the term Plaster occurred to me. The term “plaster” resonated with me since the narrative was so intriguing. You will fall in love with every character as you watch the series. We all had a great time while filming, and the actors did an amazing job. Every performer and I have a unique relationship, and they are all excellent in their roles.

Aman Cheema, Gurinder Makhna, Ashish Duggal, Sukhdeep Sukh, Diljot, Iqbal Charik, Deep Mandeep, Rangdev, Harpreet Bhoora, Lucky Mistry, Surinder Narula, and Sanjeev Kaler are among the several celebrities that feature in the cast. Four young boys with low-paying jobs—Bunty (Navdeep), Gora (Bharat), Mistri (Gurjit Lucky), Pradeep (Dharampreet Gill), and Honey (Mohanty Sharma)—are the focus of the show. The tale centers on their involvement in a fake drug sale, which is centered around the mysterious “plaster” and the jigsaw puzzle they find themselves locked in.

Good times

Actor Sukhdeep Sukh describes his character as distinctive, something viewers of Punjabi television shows and movies haven’t seen much of. He continues, “I am a stylized drug lord who is quite aware of his appearance and what he wears. Sitting for lengthy hours to get my hair colored and bleached for the sequences was difficult. However, it fits with the job path I choose.

Among this male-dominated star ensemble, actress Deep Mandeep says, “It’s fun being on the sets with all those male actors.” I didn’t feel under any pressure to perform; in fact, since there were fewer of us—just three or four actresses—we were given preferential attention. The fact that OTT lets us try new things makes me pleased.

Although Deep believes that a lot has changed since she started working in the field, discussions on wage fairness are still necessary.
