Roja Reunites To Produce Motion Pictures Following An 18-Year Break

In the 1990s, Roja Combines, an Indian production and distribution firm led by Kaja Mydeen, continued to be one of the top production studios in the Tamil cinema industry. It has supported a number of well-known films, such as Alli Thandha Vaanam, Charlie Chaplin, Samasthanam, Porkkaalam, and Anantha Poongatre, to mention a few. The previous movie, Perarasu, was supported by this production firm in 2006. Prakash Raj, Debina Bonnerjee, and Vijayakanth played the key roles in this Tamil movie.

According to recent sources, Roja Combines is prepared to begin a project once again after an 18-year hiatus. Prabhu Solomon is reportedly attached to helm the future movie. In 1999, he made his feature film directing debut with Kannodu Kanbathellam. Afterwards, he directed a number of well-known movies, including Thodari, Kayal, Mynaa, Laadam, and Kokki.

Actor Vijay Sri Hari, son of Vanitha Vijayakumar, is said to be the leading man in the new production. He’s supposedly going to make his hero debut in this next Tamil film. Vanitha and her first husband, Akash, are the parents of Vijay Sri Hari. Sri Hari was born in 2001, the year the couple got married.

In Saguni, a political satire film from earlier in 2012, Vijay Sri Hari portrayed a younger Karthi. But further details regarding the future movie will be revealed shortly.

Regarding Roja Combines, it was founded and operated by three distinct manufacturers in the 1990s: Jayaprakash, V. Gnanavel, and Kaja Mydeen. Later, in the early 2000s, Gnanavel and Jayaprakash moved to form GJ Combines.

Udhayan’s vigilante action film Perarasu, which Roja Combines with, was released before. In addition to Debina Bonnerjee, Prakash Raj, Sarath Babu, Anandaraj, and Pandiarajan, Vijayakanth plays two roles in the movie. Pravin Mani composed the music for the movie.

The plot of the movie follows the formula of a Southern masala film, pitting good officer against evil person. The gross for this film was mediocre. Perarasu has similarities with a number of Vijayakanth films from the past, including Vallarasu (2000) and Pulan Visaranai (1990). He was seen portraying the dual personas of law enforcement and vigilante, akin to identical twins.
