Says Jaya Bachchan, “Women are’stupid’ not to let men pay on dates”

In the most recent episode of Navya Naveli Nanda’s vodcast “What The Hell Navya 2,” titled “Macho Myths and Modern Men,” veteran star Jaya Bachchan discussed her opinions on how women should allow men to pay on dates.
Her brother Agastya joined her mother Shweta Bachchan and grandma Jaya Bachchan in the most recent episode.
During the show, Navya spoke about guys and toxicity.

Navya discussed how modern women like to pay for their own meals while out on a date and feel empowered. For instance, some people feel angry now days if you ask a female out on a date and offer to pay. if women now believe they are equally…”
Jaya cut him off, saying, “How foolish of those women.” Allow the males to pay, please.”

“No, but I’m saying these are things that happen,” Navya went on. That “Well, we can let ourselves in” feeling. You don’t have to let us open it. So, how would you draw that boundary?
Agastya was then questioned by Shweta: “Are you opening doors for people?”
Once again entering the discussion, Jaya said, “Basically, they’re trying to say don’t be chivalrous. How foolish is that?

When describing the distinction between poison and chivalry, Agastya had a whole other perspective. He remarked, “You can’t go wrong as long as you’re doing it to be polite and not show ‘I’m the man.'” It will never come off negatively if you open the door out of a sense of “I want to help you,” rather than “I’m the one opening the door.”

Saying something like, “I’d love to pay for this meal,” won’t come off as disrespectful since you’re being kindly. Not like, “I’ll pay because I’m the provider.” That’s the goal, Agastya continued.
Jaya Bachchan, meanwhile, was most recently seen in Karan Johar’s film “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani,” which starred Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra, Alia Bhatt, and Ranveer Singh.
