The Last of Us Season 2 Cast Has Catherine O’Hara Included: Report

The Last of Us, an HBO series based on the critically popular video game, has added award-winning Canadian actress Catherine O’Hara to its cast, further solidifying the ensemble for the show’s upcoming second season. Catherine O’Hara, who is well-known for her outstanding roles in films such as Schitt’s Creek, Beetlejuice, and Home Alone, adds a plethora of skill and expertise to the post-apocalyptic setting of The Last of Us.

According to a Variety story, the formal release verifies Catherine O’Hara’s participation in season 2. Her role’s specifics are being kept under wraps, however. Comic Book says that Catherine O’Hara will portray Gail, a new character added to the series who wasn’t in the first game, according to a scoop story spearheaded by well-known online personality Daniel Richtman.

Together with Kaitlyn Dever, Isabela Merced, and Young Mazino, Catherine O’Hara is one of the new cast members. The Hollywood Reporter claims that Kaitlyn Dever will play Abby, a talented soldier who is seeking revenge and will not accept a black-and-white worldview. Mazino will play Jesse, a community leader who puts others’ needs before of his own, while Merced will play Dina, a free-spirited heroine whose commitment to Ellie will be put to the test in their harsh environment.

The TV show The Last of Us, which is set two decades after modern civilization collapses, follows survivor Joel (Pedro Pascal) as he tries to sneak 14-year-old Ellie (Bella Ramsey) out of a harsh quarantine zone. As they travel throughout the post-apocalyptic United States, their existence rests on their unflinching reliance on one another. It is a terrible and painful voyage.

The first season of The Last of Us was a huge success, as shown by its widespread audience and positive reviews. The program received an astounding 25 Emmy nominations in addition to three Golden Globe nominations.
