The Ramadan-themed Turquoise Blue Saree by Alia Bhatt Took 100 Hours To Complete

On Monday, January 22, Alia Bhatt was one of the few Bollywood celebs present at the Ram Mandir’s Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. Her actor spouse Ranbir Kapoor was beside her. Alia Bhatt was stunning in a traditional avatar, clad in a turquoise blue Mysore silk saree that she picked out of the Madhurya Creations apparel line. Alia Bhatt looked great while adhering to the day’s customary dress code, and her saree caught people’ attention for a few different reasons.

Interestingly, hand-painted designs from significant Ramayan themes graced Alia Bhatt’s saree. Among others, it included Lord Hanuman, Goddess Sita, and Lord Rama.

It took 100 hours to construct Alia Bhatt’s saree.

The exquisite ensemble, which took over 100 hours to make and included small paintings in the traditional Pattachitra style, was a perfect match for the occasion. Alia Bhatt posted, “100 hours of effort to make this pattachitra saree depicting the beautiful epic of Ramayana” on Instagram Stories, beside a mirror image of herself.

Before this, Amit Patel, the actress’ stylist, provided some excellent insights about how the sari was made while taking a closer look at the ensemble. He further added that certain significant Ramayana events are shown in the designs of the saree. “Ram Setu, the golden deer, the kidnapping, the breaking of the Shiva Dhanush, King Dasharatha’s promise, in the boat with Guha, the ring that Lord Hanuman gave to Ma Sita, and the Rama Pattabishek,” the author said.

Although the gold-accented saree delighted viewers with her outfit choice for the day, the actress finished off her appearance with a cleanly parted low bum and little makeup. In her hands, she had a matching potli bag and gold danglers. Alia Bhatt accessorized her traditional outfit with a similar scarf, maintaining your timeless style.

However, to go with her, her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor, also opted for an all-white traditional outfit. Ranbir draped a white blanket over himself while wearing a white kurta pajama.

Regarding her career, 2023 proved to be a prosperous year for Alia Bhatt. Rocky Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, a romantic comedy directed by Karan Johar, was her first smash. She then starred with Gal Gadot in her Hollywood debut, Heart of Stone.

Currently, the actress is filming Jigra, her forthcoming film with Vasan Bala. In addition to starring in the movie, she co-produces it via her own production business, Eternal Sunshine Production. September 2024 is when the much awaited movie is scheduled to premiere in theaters.
