With Mowgli and Simba as her two children, Manisha Koirala feels complete

Actress Manisha Koirala recently discussed her opinions on parenthood and her yearning for friendship in an interview. Manisha said that although she now lacks the confidence to become a mother due to her difficult experience with cancer, she hasn’t fully ruled it out. She said that even though she has “wonderful parents and amazing friends,” she sometimes considers whether a life partner might make her experiences more fulfilling.

The actor was previously wed to Nepali businessman Samrat Dahal between 2010 and 2012. On June 19, 2010, the pair exchanged vows in a customary ceremony in Kathmandu. Unfortunately, two years later—the year Manisha was given her ovarian cancer diagnosis—their marriage came to an end. Manisha was asked to discuss her views on having a life partner at the most recent interview.

Manisha spoke openly about this area of her life with ETimes, stating, “To have a family is a little late now, no? I sometimes ponder if life would be better now if I had a life companion. I’m not sure. My dog Mowgli and my cat Simba are my children, and they make me feel like my life is complete. I also have excellent parents and a great group of friends. Even yet, I sometimes consider if having a life partner might be preferable.

Manisha spoke about her views on being a single mother throughout the interview. She said that she would want to be a single mom and expressed her intention to do so once she felt confident enough to do so.

Manisha acknowledged the difficulties and said, “I realise how accountable you have to be to raise a kid in this environment. I’ll do it the moment I have faith in my ability to handle it as a single mother. But given my history with health issues, the variety of hobbies I want to pursue, and the feeling of freedom I now have, if I could give up all of that and just concentrate on being a parent, I would love to.
