According to the Army Chief, “All Pakistanis Must Throw Out Beggar’s Bowl” Due To Foreign Loan Dependence

According to Geo News, Pakistan’s Army Chief Syed Asim Munir stressed the necessity for the nation to become self-sufficient in order to cease its reliance on foreign loans, which the cash-strapped government recently obtained with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Pakistanis are a proud, zealous, and brilliant country, the Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan stated on Monday during the inaugural ceremony of Khanewal Model Agriculture Farm. The beggar’s bowl must be thrown away by all Pakistanis.

Notably, China is preparing to provide Pakistan another loan. In light of an IMF agreement, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently announced that the government has obtained a rollover of an extra USD 600 million loan from its dependable partner China.

According to Geo News, the government of Pakistan now owes 2.44 billion USD, including 2.07 billion USD in non-guaranteed debt to China.

The head of the army further said that Pakistan has received all of Allah’s blessings and that no force on earth can halt its development. General Munir compared a state to a mother and stated that there should be love and respect between the people and the state. He said that the economy and security are interdependent and essential to one another.

The COAS said that the Pakistan Army is pleased to defend its country and that both the military and the populace provide strength to one another. General Munir pledged that the armed forces would not stop working until Pakistan was led out of the current predicament.

According to Geo News, the COAS predicted that the nation will see an agricultural revolution while discussing the model farm. In order to help small farmers and broaden the reach of green initiatives, he continued, model farms would be constructed around the nation in accordance with contemporary norms.
