Biden ‘Outraged’ By Gaza Hospital Explosion That Killed 500 People Despite Israel and Hamas Trade Charges

At least 500 people were murdered in an explosion at a Gaza hospital on Tuesday, according to US Vice President Joe Biden. According to Biden, he called with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Jordan’s King Abdullah II “immediately upon hearing this news.” Additionally, he said that he had “directed my national security team to continue gathering information about what exactly happened.”

“The explosion at the Al Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza and the horrible loss of life that followed wrath and great sadness in me. I immediately called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Jordan’s King Abdullah II to discuss this news, and I’ve since directed my national security staff to keep learning more about what occurred. The United States unwaveringly supports the preservation of civilian life throughout hostilities, and we grieve the victims of this atrocity, including the patients, medical professionals, and other innocent bystanders.

At least 500 people were killed in a huge explosion that shook a hospital in Gaza City on Tuesday, according to the Hamas-run Health Ministry. While Hamas accused an Israeli attack, the Israeli military said that a missile launched by Palestinian terrorists inadvertently struck the hospital. Hamas described the incident as “a horrific massacre.”

The Israeli military accused the terrorist Palestinian Islamic Jihad organization after its operational system analysis revealed “an enemy rocket barrage” was passing the hospital at the time of the incident and was directed toward Israel. Islamic Jihad denied that any of its missiles were responsible for the hospital explosion and claimed that at the time it had no presence in or near Gaza City.

Jordan visit by Biden is postponed
Following a Tuesday blast at a Gaza hospital that left hundreds dead, Joe Biden has postponed his trip to Jordan, according to the White House. Biden was originally scheduled to visit Jordan following his visit to Israel during the latter’s war with Hamas.

President Biden will postpone his trip to Jordan and the scheduled meeting with these two leaders as well as President Sisi of Egypt, a White House official said. “After consulting with King Abdullah II of Jordan and in light of the days of mourning announced by President Abbas of the Palestinian Authority, President Biden will postpone his travel to Jordan and the planned meeting with these two leaders and President Sisi of Egypt,” the official said.

“The President expressed his sincere condolences for the innocent souls lost in the Gaza hospital explosion and wished the injured a quick recovery. The official said, “He pledged to continue to routinely and personally interact with each of these leaders over the coming days and looks forward to engaging with each of them in person shortly.
