In Pakistan, severe rains have resulted in at least 29 deaths

Authorities reported on Sunday that Pakistan had experienced heavy rains that caused at least 29 deaths and 50 injuries, as well as the collapse of buildings and landslides that blocked highways, mostly in the northwest.

Since Thursday night, the provincial disaster management office in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, which borders Afghanistan, has recorded around 23 rain-related fatalities.

The coastal town of Gwadar was inundated by floods in the southwestern region of Baluchistan, resulting in the evacuation of residents by boat, a move that claimed five lives.

The National Disaster Management Authority said that damage and casualties have also been recorded in Kashmir, which is governed by Pakistan.
