One is killed by a Russian airstrike in Kherson, Ukraine, and a war crimes probe has been launched

According to officials on Saturday, Russian soldiers detonated an explosive from a drone on a village in the Kherson area of southern Ukraine, killing one civilian and injuring another.

The event, which happened in the town of Beryslav at approximately 10 a.m. (0800 GMT), is now the subject of a war crimes inquiry by prosecutors. When the incident occurred, both victims had been out and about, according to the police.

Since retiring over the Dnipro River late last year, Russian troops have been attacking the western half of the Kherson province on a regular basis, especially the capital city.
